PM Modi to Address Farmers in Varanasi on June 18
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Varanasi for the first time since his re-election, where he will address a Kisan Sammelan and release the 17th installment of the Samman Nidhi scheme, benefitting over 267,000 farmers.
In a significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to make his first visit to his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, since securing his third consecutive term in office. The Prime Minister's visit is scheduled for June 18, where he will address a Kisan Sammelan (Farmers' Conference).
Scheduled to arrive at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport Babatpur at approximately 4:30 pm, Modi's visit will span 4.5 hours. During this time, he will extend a warm welcome along his route and proceed directly to the venue of the Kisan Sammelan.
The visit holds particular significance as he will personally honor farmers from Varanasi by releasing the 17th installment of the Samman Nidhi scheme. This initiative is expected to benefit around 267,665 farmers in the region, amounting to over Rs 20,000 crores. The event underscores the government's commitment to agricultural welfare and development.
Following the Kisan Sammelan, Modi will visit the revered Baba Kashi Vishwanath Temple and participate in the iconic Ganga Aarti ceremony at Dashashwamedh Ghat, symbolizing his spiritual connection with Varanasi.
