On January 12, 2023, around 4 p.m., Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 26th National Youth Festival in Hubbali, Karnataka. The event is being held on National Youth Day, which is celebrated on Swami Vivekanand's birth anniversary, to honour and cherish his ideals, teachings, and contributions.

Every year, the National Youth Festival is held to give our talented youth national exposure while also galvanizing them towards nation-building.

It unites participants in the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat by bringing diverse cultures from all over the country to a common platform.

This year, the Festival is being held in Hubballi-Dharwad in Karnataka from 12th to 16th January, with the theme being "Viksit Yuva - Viksit Bharat".

The Festival will feature the Youth Summit, which will feature plenary discussions on five themes derived from G20 and Y20 events, namely the Future of Work, Industry, Innovation, and 21st Century Skills; Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction; Peace Building and Reconciliation; Shared Future-Youth in Democracy and Governance; and Health and Well-being.

More than sixty distinguished experts will attend the Summit. There will also be a number of competitive and non-competitive events. Competitive events will include folk dances and songs, and will be held to give local traditional cultures a boost. Yogathon, a non-competitive event, aims to mobilize close to 10 lakh people to practice Yoga.

National level performers will also present eight indigenous sports and martial arts during the event. Food Festival, Young Artist Camp, adventure sports activities, and special Know Your Army, Navy, and Air Force camps are among the other attractions.
