Expansion Plans and Economic Impact
Banas Dairy’s operations in Uttar Pradesh currently span across 4,600 villages in 47 districts, including seven in Purvanchal. The ambitious expansion plans aim to extend milk procurement to 7,000 villages in 70 districts by the next year, with an emphasis on penetrating into 15 new districts in Purvanchal. The target of establishing 2,600 functional Milk Societies by the end of 2025 in Purvanchal demonstrates a commitment to grassroots development and empowerment.
Moreover, the establishment of chilling centers across various locations further enhances the procurement infrastructure, facilitating increased milk collection and processing. The Varanasi plant, with its modern amenities and sustainable practices, not only creates direct employment opportunities but also indirectly benefits a substantial number of individuals, including milk producers. Additionally, the plant’s capability to manufacture renowned local sweets under hygienic conditions and market them nationally under the Amul brand showcases a convergence of tradition with modernity, further amplifying the economic potential of the region.
With robust expansion plans and a focus on inclusive growth, the plant is poised to emerge as a beacon of progress and prosperity, contributing to the socio-economic upliftment of Uttar Pradesh.
