PM Modi to Inaugurate Several Projects in AP & Telangana Including Railway Line and Airport Terminal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 2 days visit to the 4 southern states visited Andhra Pradesh and Telangana today. During his visit to the states, PM Modi launched several new initiatives and schemes worth thousands of crores of rupees.

Earlier in the day, he dedicated several infrastructure projects in Andhra Pradesh's Vishakhapatnam, including the Andhra section of the six-lane Greenfield Raipur-Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor.

The inauguration of the Rs 26,000 crore expansion and modernization of HPCL's petroleum refinery, the first phase of the new green campus of the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam, and a cruise terminal at the Visakhapatnam Port in Andhra Pradesh are among those initiatives and projects.

While addressing the media PM Modi said “The economic corridor that is being launched today, will improve multimodal connectivity to boost trade and manufacturing in Andhra Pradesh. With these new infrastructure development projects, the coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh will now experience speedy growth”. During his visit, he also met the film star and Jan Sena Party Supremo Pawan Kalyan, one of the allies of BJP in Andhra Pradesh.

PM Modi spoke to the media at Telangana's Begumpet airport. In his speech, he blamed the ruling state party for slowing the state's progress. "The recent bye-elections demonstrate that the sun will rise and the lotus will bloom across Telangana," Modi said.

In Telangana, the Prime Minister announced a fertilizer plant for the nation at Ramagundam, as well as inaugurated and lay the groundwork for numerous development projects in the state. Modi laid the foundation stone for the RFCL fertilizer plant in Ramagundam, Peddapalli district, which has been reopened at a cost of Rs 6,338 crore.

The PM will also dedicate a 54.1-kilometer railway line from Bhadrachalam Road to Sattupalli, which was built with a Rs 990-crore budget. He will lay the groundwork for a number of road projects, each with a budget of Rs 2,268 crore.

 

On Friday PM Modi presented the state of Karnataka with a new terminal at the International Kempegowda Airport, the “Terminal-in-a-garden”, 108 ft tall statue of the cities founder Kempegowda also known as the “statue of prosperity”, and he also inaugurated the first Vande Bharat train for the southern states connecting major cities Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Chennai.

Creating air connectivity and new airports is an urgent need in India. The new terminal at Bengaluru International Airport will improve facilities.
