PM Modi to Launch Infra Projects in Karnataka & Maharashtra worth Rs 49,600 Crore Today
PM Modi will visit Maharashtra and Karnataka to dedicate and launch projects totaling Rs 38,000 crore for development initiatives.
In an effort to improve the nation's infrastructure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the cornerstones for a number of development projects in Karnataka and Maharashtra on Thursday.
The Yadgir multi-village drinking water delivery programme, which will provide potable water to nearly 2.3 lakh households in over 700 rural habitations and three towns, will have its foundation stone laid by PM Modi in Kodekal, according to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
The Narayanpur Left Bank Canal - Extension Renovation and Modernization Project (NLBC-ERM), which will aid in irrigating 4.5 lakh hectares of command area, will also be officially inaugurated by the latter during his visit.
Further, PM Modi will hand out title deeds to qualified recipients when he arrives in the Kalaburagi district's Malkhed village in the afternoon. People of this region will now be qualified to receive government services like drinking water, power, and roads as a result of this official government acknowledgment of their land.
He will also lay the foundation stone for the 71 km portion of NH-150C, which is a part of the Surat-Chennai Expressway, whose construction will cost over Rs 2,100 crore. The states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu will be traversed by the Surat-Chennai Expressway.
Overall, the prime minister will dedicate construction projects worth Rs 10,200 crore in the southern state on Thursday.
PM Modi will be dedicating and officially launching projects in Mumbai worth about Rs 38,800 crores later in the day.
He will dedicate the Mumbai Metro Rail Lines 2A and 7, which were constructed for about Rs 12,600 crore in an effort to increase urban mobility. While metro line 7, which connects Andheri E to Dahisar E (red line), is approximately 16.5 km long, metro line 2A, which connects Dahisar E and DN Nagar, is approximately 18.6 km long.
Moreover, the Prime Minister will formally dedicate seven sewage treatment facilities that will be built in the cities of Malad, Bhandup, Versova, Ghatkopar, Bandra, Dharavi, and Worli. Their combined capacity is anticipated to be 2,460 MLD.
Additionally, he will also inaugurate 20 Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Aapla Dawakhana. According to PMO, this effort offers people necessary medical care absolutely free of charge.
