Several local businesses and organizations have been invited to participate in this apprenticeship mela, which aims to provide relevant opportunities for local youth to shape their careers through apprenticeship training. Many companies from a variety of industries will be present at the event.

Participating organizations will be able to meet potential apprentices on a single platform and choose applicants on the spot, giving them the opportunity to improve their livelihood and learn new skills.

Individuals can register for the mela and find the nearest location by visiting https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/. Candidates in this apprenticeship mela must be Class 5 to Class 12 graduates with skill training certificates, ITI Diploma holders, or graduates. To the respective venues, candidates must bring three copies of their resume, three copies of all marksheets and certificates, photo ID (Aadhaar card/driving licence, etc.), and three passport-size photographs.

Those who have already registered are asked to arrive at the venue with all necessary documents. Candidates will also earn National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET)-recognized certifications through this fair, increasing their employability after the training sessions. Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, stated in response to the Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela that skills and knowledge are the driving forces of a country's economic growth and social development.

It is well established that countries with higher and better levels of skill adapt more effectively to the new world of work's challenges and opportunities. Through our apprenticeship programmes, we hope to develop a resilient and capable workforce capable of improving its own socioeconomic status and propelling India's economic engine, he added.

He went on to say that PMNAM is a platform that facilitates the meeting of apprenticeship aspirants and employers, allowing aspirants to interact one-on-one with employers and learning about the industry in which they want to train and build a career.  These fairs offer enormous value to newcomers looking for the right opportunities, as well as numerous benefits to businesses, communities, and families. We encourage candidates from all professional and academic backgrounds to attend this fair, where they will have the opportunity to be a part of an exciting career that will make a positive difference in their lives, he added.

On the second Monday of each month, the country hosts apprenticeship melas, where selected individuals receive a monthly stipend in accordance with government criteria for learning new skills. Apprenticeship is regarded as the most sustainable model of skill development, and it has received significant support under the Skill India Mission.

The government aims to train one million youth each year through apprenticeship training, and PMNAM is being used as a platform to increase the participation of establishments and students. It also educates young people about the various opportunities available through the participating companies.
