PMJDY: Here’s the Easiest Way to Check Your PM Jan Dhan Account Status and Balance

Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Account which is opened under government’s Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), is one of the most beneficial schemes launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the people of the country. You can open PM Jan Dhan account in any bank branch (SBI, PNB etc) or Business Correspondent (Bank Mitr) outlet.

The best thing about PM Jan Dhan yojana is that you can open your account with Zero balance. But, if the accountholder wants a cheque book then he or she will have to maintain a minimum balance criteria.

During Covid-19 lockdown, the Modi Government had announced many subsidy schemes, which was transferred through direct bank transfer (DBT) or to the PM Jan Dhan account. But, it has been found that people having PM Jan Dhan account are not able to check their balance or other details.

State Bank of India (SBI), the largest Indian commercial bank in the country, has the maximum Jan Dhan accounts. For the benefit of SBI customers, the bank has launched a new facility through which people will be able to check their balance easily.

How to Check PM Jan Dhan Account balance

The SBI customers can check their PM Jan Dhan Account balance in the following way;

State Bank of India has recently launched a special facility for its consumers, especially those who have opened account under PM Jan Dhan Yojana.

PMJDY holder can check the balance of his/her account by dialing 18004253800 or 1800112211.

SBI customer has to call on this number from his registered mobile number.

In this way, he/she will get information about the last five transactions and also his/her account balance.

Besides, SBI customers can also get all these information by calling at 9223766666 from their registered mobile number.
