Chhattisgarh Govt is Offering 100% Subsidy on Bamboo-Teak Cultivation

In order to increase the income of farmers, farmers in Chhattisgarh are being offered a 100 percent subsidy on bamboo and teak trees. Under the Chief Minister’s Tree Sampada Yojana, farmers will get a 5 percent subsidy for planting 5000 saplings on 100 acres of land. At the same time, 5 percent financial assistance will be given on more than 50 acres of land. Apart from farmers, private institutions can also take advantage of this scheme.

Government to buy trees on its own

The amount will be given to farmers on plants like tissue culture teak, and tissue culture bamboo. When these trees grow, they will be purchased by the government at a fixed support price. With this, farmers will not have to find a market to sell their trees.
