Dr. Gosal emphasized PAU's pivotal role in Punjab's agricultural and human resource development, positioning it as a key catalyst for progress in the region and one of Asia's premier Agricultural Universities. PAU's legacy is further evidenced by the establishment of six other State Agricultural Universities in India, making it a beacon of agricultural excellence.
Dr. TS Riar, Additional Director Communication, underscored PAU's eminence in agricultural education. Established in 1962, PAU is acclaimed as the nation's foremost institution for agricultural teaching, research, and extension. The university's stellar performance is reflected in its top ranking among State Agricultural Universities and its impressive standing in the Agriculture and Allied Sector, according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023.
PAU conducts its academic programs through five constituent colleges in Ludhiana, including the College of Agriculture, College of Horticulture, College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, College of Basic Sciences & Humanities, College of Community Science, and one College of Agriculture at Ballowal Saunkhri.
