The Assistant Commissioner of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, Sunil Kumar, attended KJ Chaupal at Krishi Jagran on Friday, October 20, ahead of the Millionnaire Farmer of India Awards.

Mr Kumar has overseen the work of Kisan Credit Card and Fasal Bima Yojana. The Founder and Editor-in-chief of Krishi Jagran, MC Dominic, welcomed him saying, "he is an exceptional figure, who is always there to help people, unlike many government officials".

Touched by the appreciation and applause, Mr Kumar, said, "I'm myself from the farming community and have read in agricultural institutes."  He felt overjoyed to see Mr and Mrs Dominic working together and becoming a strength for one another. "It like a double effort when you work together, even my wife has an agricultural background and becomes my support."

He further said, "The purpose is not what to do but what you can do for the community."

He said that he always wanted to connect with Krishi Jagran. "We used to talk about sustainability, now we talk about economic activities," he added.

Appreciating the work of Krishi Jagran, he said, "What you are contributing to the country and agricultural sector, propelled me to come and attend KJ Chaupal."

He mentioned that "Government cannot deliver everything, everywhere and we feel privileged to be connected with Krishi Jagran," which has become the voice of every farmer of the country.
