Railways to Run 179 Special Trains till Chhath Puja; Check List Here

In order to manage the extra rush during the festive season, the Indian Railways has announced that they are operating 179 special trains until Chhath Puja this year.

Ministry of Railway said that these special trains will ensure smooth and comfortable travel for passengers during this festive season.

This year the festive season began on August 31 with Ganesh Chaturthi and will continue till 31 October i.e., Chhath Puja, after that the season rush will be reduced.

The special trains will cover major destinations throughout the nation including Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, and Delhi-Saharsa, etc.

The Ministry of Railway said that these special trains will ensure smooth and comfortable travel for passengers during this festive season.

Special trains announced for the festive season

According to the official statement, Central Railway (CR) has announced 100 trips of seven pairs of special trains.

In addition, the Eastern Coastal Railway (ECoR), the Eastern Railway (ER), the Northern Railway (NE), the North Central Railway (NCR), and the North Central Railway (ECR) have all announced special trains.

The East Central Railway (ECR) has announced 128 trips involving nine pairs of special trains, the Eastern Coastal Railway (ECoR), 94 trips of six pairs of special trains, the Eastern Railway (ER), 108 trips of fourteen pairs of special trains, Northern Railway (NE) has notified 368 trips of 35 pairs of special trains and North Central Railway (NCR) has notified 223 trips of 8 pairs of special trains.

Further, the North Eastern Railway (NER) has announced 34 trips of two-pair special trains, the North Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced 64 trips of four-pair special trains, the North Western Railway (NWR) has announced 134 trips of five-pair special trains, the Southern Railway (SR) has announced 56 trips of 22 pair special trains.

South Eastern Railway (SER) has announced 14 trips of two-pair special trains, the South Central Railway (SCR) has announced 191 trips of 19 pair special trains, South Western Railway (SWR) has notified 433 trips of 22 special trains, West Central Railway (WCR) has notified 16 trips of 6 pair special trains and Western Railway (WR) has informed 306 trips of 18 pair special trains.
