Rainwater Conservation: World Water Day celebration at Krishi Vigyan Kendra

On the occasion of World Water day organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kasturba Village on March 22, 2021, the director of Indian Soybean Research Centre Indore, Dr. Nita Khandekar expressed her views and said, “Conserve rainwater and use water conservation techniques for crop production.”

World Water Day Celebration at Krishi Vigyan Kendra

On the occasion of World Water day organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kasturba Village on March 22, 2021, the director of Indian Soybean Research Centre Indore, Dr. Nita Khandekar expressed her views and said, “Conserve rainwater and use water conservation techniques for crop production.” 

She also mentioned that the training on technology for soybean production can be imparted keeping in mind the water conservation techniques.  

The Senior Scientist and Head of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dr. Alok Deshwal made the farmers aware of the problem of irrigation water becoming scarce in the groundwater.  

Horticulture Scientist of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dr. D. K. Mishra discussed in detail about drip irrigation and sprinkler method in horticulture crops.  

Scientists Dr. S. D. Billore, Mr. Arun Kumar Shukla, and Mr. Nitin Pachalania also discussed about water conservation with farmers.

On this occasion, Senior Agricultural Extension Officer of Agriculture Welfare and Agriculture Development Department of Agriculture Centre Indore, Mr. Ijardar gave information about the schemes run by the government. 41 senior citizens and 4 scientists and officials participated in the program.
