Registration Dates for HIMCARE Scheme Extended upto 30th June

Himachal Pradesh Swasthya Bima Yojana Society -

The Himachal Pradesh Swasthya Bima Yojna Society is registered under Societies Registration Act, 2006. It is the nodal agency at state level for implementation of Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (PM-JAY), Himachal Health Care Scheme-HIMCARE and Mukhya Mantri Chikitsa Sahayata Kosh, in Himachal Pradesh. 

The State government is implementing Himachal Health Care Scheme (HIMCARE) since 1^st January, 2019. The scheme aims at providing cashless treatment coverage to vulnerable families, that were left over under the Ayushman Bharat.

Cashless treatment coverage up to INR 5.00 lakh/year/family is being provided on family floater basis. 

Extended dates for registration

Due to COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, most of the activities in the state has come to stand-still. 

Keeping in mind the hardships faced by people due to restricted movements, the additional chief secretary, Health R.D. Dhiman said that the registeration under HIMCARE have been extended till 30^th June, 2020 from 15^th June, 2020.  

Dhiman further added that, the people of the state were unable to register due to lockdown, therefore to facilitate the families, the government has extended the dates. Families whose cards have expired on 15^th June, 2020 can also renew their cards till June 30. 

Steps for registeration under HIMCARE

The beneficiaries can register themselves at www.hpsbys.in or through Lok Mitra Kendras. 

The required documents for uploading under this scheme are also available on the departmental website.  

Beneficiaries have to pay the premiums from zero rupees to 1000 rupees.
