On the third day of the virtual FAI Annual seminar 2021 V.S Sirohi the Marketing Director Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited, Noida, Uttar Pradesh put forward a few suggestions on the topic of “Effective Logistics Strategy”.
His total breakdown of the effective logistics strategy’s to be employed in the field of fertiliser trade throughout the nation of India was very detailed and precise.
He also went on to say that although India had progressed a lot since 1990 most of the burden in terms of fertiliser freight was carried by railway still and only 20 % of the freight was via roads and he was of the opinion that road freight should be increased to at least 30 % to lessen the burden the railways face right now.
Some of his major recommendations were that mechanised handling of Goods and extensive use of the Information technology industry should be put in use to have a robust MIS system.
Real-time information on the delivery of packets according to him was also something that he wanted the industry to focus on to ensure more transparency.
