M. Vasanthageshan, Executive Director of the Board. Sawar Dhanania, Chairman of the Rubber Board inaugurated the exhibition and launched the Malayalam book 'Rubber History' written by Vinoth Thomas, Rubber Board Scientist.

The exhibition's major feature will be the history of rubber, the development of the rubber sector, and the accomplishments of the rubber board, which will be spread across more than 40 stalls. In the stalls, several sorts of rubber products and manufacturing methods are displayed.

The exhibition's goal is to show how versatile natural rubber is and how many applications it can serve. At the exhibition centre, there is also a full-body statue of an elephant made completely of natural rubber.

There will be a display and marketing of rubber items such as exercise bands with strong export potential, natural rubber foams, medical and domestic gloves, and so on.

The Rubber Board was established on April 18, 1947, with the passing of the Rubber Act, and is now celebrating its 75th year of existence for the growth of rubber plantations and product manufacture in the country through various activities.

In India, the rubber sector has established itself as a prominent industry. In a few years, India is expected to overtake the United States as the world's second largest player in this area. India leads the world in natural rubber production. It is primarily manufactured in Kerala, but production is expanding in North-East India.
