The event commenced with the arrival and felicitation of distinguished guests and a Saraswati Pujan, further setting the tone for the day. Vivek Kumar Rai, the Content Head of Krishi Jagran's Hindi Department, took the stage, guiding the audience through Krishi Jagran's mission and the essence of the Samridh Kisan Utsav- a platform for farmers to share their success stories and inspire others.

The event truly lived up to its name – "Samridh Kisan Utsav" meaning "Festival of Prosperous Farmers". Two farmers, Ashok Chaudhari and Girish Dilliwal, took center stage. Chaudhari, a champion of the Integrated Farming System (IFS) model, explained how this holistic approach, combining diverse agricultural practices, had optimized his resource usage, minimized waste, and significantly boosted his productivity.

Chaudhari, a proponent of the Integrated Farming System (IFS), illustrated how blending crops, livestock, agroforestry, and aquaculture into a cohesive system significantly boosted his farm’s productivity and sustainability. His narrative highlighted the potential of IFS to optimize resource use and enhance agricultural output, painting a vivid picture of a self-sustaining farming ecosystem.

Following Chaudhari, Dilliwal shared his experiences in mushroom farming. His success story emphasized how utilizing Mahindra tractors and Mahindra agricultural tools simplified farming processes and substantially increased his income. Both farmers’ stories resonated with the event’s core message—empowering farmers through innovation and resourcefulness. Their stories, filled with grit and the power of technology, resonated deeply with the audience, solidifying Krishi Jagran's belief in "Farmers First."

The spotlight then turned to Dr. R.C. Ramteke, a renowned scientist, who shed light on the National Livestock Mission (NLM). Dr. Ramteke explained the aim of NLM to boost employment through entrepreneurship in the small ruminant, poultry, and piggery sectors, while also enhancing productivity through breed improvement. The mission’s vision for the next five years includes significant advancements in meat, egg, goat milk, wool, and fodder production, setting a groundbreaking agenda for the livestock sector.

Farmers witnessing latest model of Mahindra Tractors

The event turned more interesting and informative as Dileep Singh, Head of Mahindra and Mahindra, Chhattisgarh, discussed the latest advancements in Mahindra’s tractor and agricultural tool models, highlighting their commitment to supporting modern agriculture. The day concluded with insightful addresses from Dr. R.R.B. Singh, Vice Chancellor of Dau Vasudev Chandrakar Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya, Dr. Sanjay Shakya, Director of Extension Education, and Dr. V.N. Khune, Program Coordinator at Krishi Vigyan Kendra. Their speeches reinforced the collective vision of fostering agricultural progress and supporting the farming community.

The highlight, however, was the Farmer's Award Show. As the RFOI awards were distributed, a sense of shared achievement filled the room. The award ceremony celebrated every farmer, every face etched with the determination to build a prosperous India. The event concluded with a heartwarming feast hosted for the farmers, a fitting symbol of the community spirit that the MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav had fostered.

Millionaire Farmer of India Awards 2024

Building upon this momentum, the spotlight shifted to the upcoming 'Millionaire Farmer of India Awards'. Sponsored by Mahindra Tractors, these awards seek to honor farmers across various categories, promoting excellence and innovation in agriculture. As the second edition approaches, Krishi Jagran invites widespread participation from all sectors of agriculture by providing an online registration platform for nominees, fostering a culture of recognition and appreciation for India's farming community.
