Farmers will block the Western Peripheral Expressway or Kundli–Manesar Palwal Expressway on March 6 as their agitation against the farm bills completes 100 days, according to the Samyukta Kisan Morcha.

Farmers will block the expressway for 5 hours between 11 am and 4 pm, according to a statement released by the Morcha. The protest is now in its 97th day. The farmers' protest on Delhi's outskirts will reach its 100th day on March 6.

On that day, the KMP Expressway, which links numerous protest sites, will be closed for five hours. Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., the blockade will take effect, and no tolls will be collected at toll plazas, according to farmer leader Balvir Singh Rajewal.

The day in the remaining part of the country will be celebrated by hoisting black flags on houses and offices to demonstrate solidarity for the campaign. As a sign of resistance, SKM participants would wear black bands on that day, he said. The Western Peripheral Expressway is a six-lane road that passes in both directions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the 135-kilometer expressway in 2018. It connects Haryana's northern and southern districts at fast speeds. The road was designed to ease congestion on Delhi's roads by reducing the number of trucks entering the city.

The SKM will celebrate 'Mahila Kisan Diwas' on March 8. On that day, the Morcha has welcomed women's groups and others to join the farmers' movement. Rajewal also reported that the SKM is preparing a plan for states with upcoming Assembly elections. Members of the farmers' body will engage in various programmes in the poll-bound states of Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and the Union Territories of Puducherry. The SKM, in cooperation with the Central trade unions, will observe March 15 as 'anti-privatisation' day.

The SKM, in cooperation with the Central trade unions, will observe March 15 as 'anti-privatisation' day. The SKM will join trade unions in calling the day an "anti-corporatisation" day and expressing solidarity with trade union demonstrations across the world. The SKM has also announced the launch of a 'MSP Dilao Abhiyan.'
