Schools Closed In Noida & Greater Noida View Of The Guru Dronacharya Mela
The Gautam Budh Nagar district magistrate, Manish Kumar Verma, has issued a directive declaring a holiday for both public and private educational institutions, including schools and colleges, in observance of the Dronacharya Fair.
All educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities, in Noida and Greater Noida will remain closed today, September 12, 2023. The decision was officially announced by the District Inspector of School (DIOS), Dharamveer Singh, in a released statement. Yesterday, schools in Lucknow were closed due to heavy rainfall.
This one-day closure is in observance of the 'Guru Dronacharya Mela,' a significant cultural event in the region. The DIOS's directive encompasses both government and private educational establishments.
Reports suggest that the decision to declare a holiday for schools, colleges, and government offices today is directly related to the annual fair taking place in Dankaur. To ensure that parents are well-informed about this holiday, schools have been instructed to communicate this information via messages and other means.
Dharamveer Singh, while emphasizing strict adherence to the order, clarified that this holiday applies to all schools, from nursery to Class 12, across all educational boards. The closure also extends to government and private colleges and universities. Regular classes are scheduled to resume on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
This decision aims to facilitate the smooth conduct of the 'Guru Dronacharya Mela' and ensure the safety and convenience of students and educational staff in Noida and Greater Noida.
