State Bank of India Celebrates 5th International Yoga Day

Today on the International Yoga Day, an enthralling session along with demonstration by certified Yoga Guru was held at SBI residential flats complex in East of Kailash and Sec-62, Noida, where more than 300 staff and their family members participated in it. SBI, Delhi Circle - General Manager Sh. Abhay K Pandey and Shri Rajpal, Municipal Counselor- MCD South Delhi highlighted the potential of Yoga Practice.

Today on the International Yoga Day, an enthralling session along with a demonstration by certified Yoga Guru was held at SBI residential flats complex in East of Kailash and Sec-62, Noida, where more than 300 staff and their family members participated in it. SBI, Delhi Circle - General Manager Sh. Abhay K Pandey and Shri Rajpal, Municipal Counselor- MCD South Delhi highlighted the potential of Yoga Practice. 

Yoga Guru Shri Manoj Kumar Gupta shared his experience and wisdom of his 28 years long Yoga practice and explained how Yoga practice on a regular basis helps reduce stress at work for a healthier body and mind.  

Preceding to the Yoga Day, SBI Local Head Office had organized Yoga session on 10th and 11th June 2019 under the supervision of SBI Central Board Director, Dr. Purnima Gupta in which an expert Yoga teacher Dr. Padma Bhatia initially briefed about the essence of Yogic exercises on the health of individuals and thereafter, held a long practice session with demonstration of asanas.

In the Yoga session, SBI Delhi Circle Chief General Manager Shri Vijuy Ronjan, General Managers Shri Barkat Ali, Shri Abhay Kishore Pandey, Shri Ajit Singh Thakur,
Shri Shriram Iyer along with DGMs and other staff participated and acclimatized the body to the Yogic exercises. The participants were introduced to yogasnas, Kapalbati, Pranayam, Dhyana, Sankalpa and Meditation as per the common protocol issued by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India.
