Strengthening Bonds: Kerala Governor Lauds Kerala's Achievements at Raj Bhavan Kolkata

Kerala Governor, Arif Mohammad Khan, recently embarked on a visit to Raj Bhavan Kolkata, marking a significant event that aimed to strengthen the camaraderie and cultural exchange between the states of Kerala and West Bengal. The distinguished guest was accorded a warm welcome by the Governor of West Bengal, Dr. C V Ananda Bose, who graciously received him upon his arrival.

During his visit, Arif Mohammad Khan addressed a distinguished audience, highlighting Kerala's remarkable achievements in fostering social equality, human dignity, and respect for the self-esteem of every individual. He emphasized the significant role played by women in Kerala society and commended the youth of Kerala for their voluntary commitment to abstain from accepting dowry.

The Governor praised the initiative taken by the youth, who willingly signed an affidavit pledging their refusal to accept dowry. In the event of a breach of this commitment, universities hold the right to revoke degrees awarded.

Furthermore, he expressed his appreciation for the natural beauty of Kerala and expressed his satisfaction with his role as the Governor of the state. Arif Mohammad Khan also applauded the people of Kerala for their sense of social responsibility and commitment to the community as a whole.

In honour of the esteemed guest, a grand banquet was organized at Raj Bhavan Kolkata.
