‘Subarna Krishi Mela 2022’: Day 2 at the Largest Agri-Conference in Odisha

Largest Agri-Conference in Odisha kicked off its day 2 today with farmers flocking to the ground to participate in the ‘Subarna Krishi Mela 2022’. The farmers interacted with the Agri entrepreneurs, scientists, government bodies, associations, and other Agri-related organizations present there. 

Some of the participant firms include seed specialists, agri-machinery experts, entrepreneurial organizations like Terviva India Pvt ltd, Coir Board, Ministry of MSME, Corteva Agri-Science, Smaranika Agri-Horti Service, Kubota Agricultural Machinery India Pvt. Ltd., Supreme Industries Ltd., V.S.T Tillers Tractors, Shanmukha Agri-tech Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Krishi Jagran Team felicitated participant organizations who came together to make the "Subarna Krishi Mela 2022" possible. 

Apart from seeds, pesticides, and technological experts, there were stalls from the Coir Board set up by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, where representatives made jute crafts displaying it all live. Beekeeping classes were given to farmers from a special stall intended just for it. Live demonstrations of tractors and machines were also given to farmers for a better understanding of the machinery. 

The aim of the mela was to build a platform for networking between farmers and industry players which will be instrumental in building a refined understanding of technology, knowledge, and machinery for the farmers of Odisha. The farmers had an opportunity to talk to industry experts on better farming practices which will help in optimizing their yields, likewise, industry experts had an opportunity to understand the grassroots scenario of farmers and participate in the dissemination of knowledge. 

Odisha being one of the states that has a huge number of people engaged in agriculture and is on the way to major agricultural development. With the theme ‘Explore the Unexplored’ kept in the heart, Krishi Jagran is on the path to promote agricultural development in areas that are not easily accessible making it easy for farmers to participate.
