IMD's Announcements

As we approach the final two weeks of February, parts of East and Northeast India could see some rainfall. Hailstorms are expected in Chhattisgarh, Jammu-Kashmir, and Ladakh between February 18 to 20, 2024. Additionally, on February 19, Haryana-Chandigarh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand might encounter moderate rainfall and hailstorms, as per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

IMD's latest forecast indicates that a new active western disturbance is anticipated to affect Northwest India starting from February 17,2023. i.e. today.

From February 18 to 21, there could be light to moderate snowfall/rainfall along with thunderstorms, lightning, and hailstorms in the Western Himalayan region.

In the morning, dense fog may affect Bihar, Odisha, East Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand in isolated areas. However, cold waves and fog in Delhi, Punjab, and Rajasthan are expected to diminish as we progress further into the season.
