Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared some life mantras and a special message to those who secured themselves a job at the Goa Government's Rozgar Mela through video conferencing on Thursday.

He had introduced the idea of conducting the employment fair at a national level on the occasion of Dhanteras last month. The drive to create 10 lakh employment at the federal level of government kicked off at this point. Since then, the PM Modi has spoken at the Rozgar Melas of the governments of Gujarat, J&K, and Maharashtra. The day before, he also handed out approximately 71,000 appointment letters to newly hired recruits and launched a Karmayogi Prarambh module for online orientation courses for all new appointees in various Government departments.

In his remarks, he congratulated the youngsters who had received their appointment letters and noted that this was a significant move on the part of the Goa government to create jobs. The Prime Minister said that additional hiring drives would be held by the Goa Police and other government departments in the future months. This will result in a stronger Goa Police force and a better security system for locals and visitors, he claimed.

"Over the past few weeks, employment fairs have been held regularly in various states of the nation, and the Central Government has also been giving jobs to thousands of young people," he added.

Further, he also praised the efforts made by the states with double-engine governments to organise such job fairs for the youth's empowerment.

PM emphasised that the Central Government had contributed thousands of crores of rupees over the past eight years to the development of Goa and discussed the soon-to-be-opened airport at Mopa, which was constructed at a cost of about Rs 3000 crores, stating that it has become a significant source of employment for thousands of Goans, much like the connectivity and infrastructure projects currently underway in the state.

The Prime Minister stated, "The objective of 'Swayampoorna Goa' is to improve the basic amenities in the state while also enhancing the infrastructure."

The Goa Tourism Master Plan and Policy, which the state government has developed, has opened up new opportunities for investment in the tourism sector and has therefore increased employment significantly, according to PM Modi. He also spoke about the measures being taken to strengthen the economy of rural Goa and increase employment in traditional farming.

He said that farmers who produce paddy, fruit processing, coconut, jute, and spices are being connected to self-help groups. He emphasised that these initiatives are opening up a lot of new employment and self-employment options in Goa.

In his special message to those who secured a job at the fair, he said, "The most important 25 years of your life are about to start today," urging the new hires to work for the growth of Goa as well as the development of the nation.

PM Modi further highlighted his vision of a developed India in his closing remarks and outlined the objective of a New India by 2047. "You have the growth of Goa and the goal of the New India of 2047. I am confident that all of you will continue to pursue the course of your responsibility with complete devotion and preparation".
