The Organics and Millets International Trade Fair 2019 will be held from January 18 to January 20 at Bangaluru Palace.

The Organics and Millets International Trade Fair 2019 will be held from January 18 to January 20 at Bangaluru Palace. The fair organized by Karnataka Government Department of Agriculture will showcase the theme of K-Source , celebrating the state as the source for next-generation smart food.

The event is held in association with KAPPEC (Karnataka State Agricultural Produce Processing and Export Corporation ) as the Nodal Agency , MCA  as event partner, ICCOA (Indian Competence Center for Organic Agriculture)as Knowledge Partner. The event will have a world class exhibition, B2B meetings , International Conference and Food Court.

 

The Second edition of the event derive its energy from the response received for the first edition, which turned to be a crowd puller and generated a business of around 4.5 crore. It also witnessed active participation of Delegates from USA Japan, South Korea, Germany , China and Netherlands.

The main motive of the event is to place Karnataka as the organic and millet capital of India, and also to promote millet as an alternative to the rice and wheat. The government of Karnataka since 2004 has given emphasis to Organic Policy, which created an impact on the organic cultivation and led to significant growth in the area under organic cultivation.
