Tillers And Tractors Were Distributed Among Farmers in a Loan Disbursement Fair

The farmers were provided with farm equipment and tractors under the Atmanirbhar Yojana.

During a Loan Disbursement Mela held on 17 March, Thursday, 46 farm machines were distributed to the rural farmers of the East Siang district under the Atmanibhar Bhagwani and Atmanirbhar Krishi Yojana.

In addition to the benefits provided under the two schemes, the agriculture department distributed 3 power tillers under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture and 12 power tillers under Sub-mission Agriculture Mechanization. Six tractors were also distributed. 

Horticulture & Agriculture Minister, Tage Taki, who has launched the loan fair virtually from Itanagar, stated that the state government is determined to make farmers self-sufficient through the two schemes. The minister encouraged the farmers to maximize the usage of tillers, tractors, and other kinds of farm equipment that they have received under the subsidy schemes. He also emphasized the subject of farm mechanization to boost farmers' income.

In addition to this, he also stated that East Siang has enormous potential to expand its horticulture, agriculture, and allied sectors. He said that he has given priority to these sectors in the budget of 2022-23, and under the scheme, Atmanirbhar Yojana, has assigned Rs.100 crores to every department of the horticulture and agriculture sector. By this scheme, he aims to provide more farmers with farm types of machinery and various garden schemes.

About The Atmanirbhar Yojanas:

The state government of Arunachal Pradesh launched 2 schemes named Atmanirbhar Krishi Yojana and Atmanirbhar Bagwani Yojana.

Atmanirbhar Krishi Yojana is an agri sector scheme while Atmanirbhar Bagwani Yojana is a horticulture scheme. The government has allocated a total sum of Rs. 120 crores for these two schemes, Rs.60 crores for each of the schemes respectively.
