Higher Education Minister K P Anbalagan on 16th June 2019 had confirmed the release date of rank list.
Earlier, the TNEA rank list was scheduled to be released on Monday (17 June, 2019) but later it was postponed. As per media report, Minister Anbalagan told that the release of the rank list was delayed as the authority wanted to give another chance to the candidates, who could not produce the necessary education certificates on time for the verification process.
The reports also mentioned that TNEA 2019 Rank List is likely to be released at around 11 am today. Once the list is published, candidates will have to apply for admission based on the seat allocated. Students would be required to submit the initial deposit and then they can use the choice of institutions /branches based on their ranks & cut-offs. Last year’s cut off is still available on the official website of TNEA.
Things to Note:
The Rank List will have the names and ranks obtained by engineering students selected for admission to various engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. One important change in the Engineering Admission procedure 2019 has been that until last year (2018), Anna University used to publish the TNEA Merit List 2019 but, this year the merit list is being released by TNDTE.
As many as 1.33 lakh students have registered for TNEA out of which 1.04 lakh took part in the certificate verification process.
