Today’s Weather: Fresh Spell of Rains Likely in These States Amid Coronavirus; Temperature to Dip

India has received good rainfall this year and several parts of the country are still experiencing showers along with thunderstorm. However the remaining areas of the country are dry and parched.

India has received good rainfall this year and several parts of the country are still experiencing showers along with thunderstorm. However the remaining areas of the country are dry and parched.

Now let’s talk about weather systems across India:

According to weather experts, a Western Disturbance is lying over North Pakistan and adjacent areas and its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Central parts of Rajasthan. In addition, a Trough is extending from Northeast Bihar towards Odisha across eastern parts of Jharkhand. Another frail Trough is extending in the lower levels from South Madhya Maharashtra to Southern part of country.

Weather in India in the last 24 hours

If we talk about weather in the last 24 hours, there was scattered light to moderate showers over western as well as southern parts of Rajasthan, East Uttar Pradesh, interior parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Northeast India, parts of Bihar, West Bengal & isolated pockets of Odisha.

Weather in India in the next 24 hours

MET Department says that in the next 24 hours, scattered light rainfall along with thunderstorm would continue in several parts of Rajasthan & isolated pockets of North Madhya Pradesh.

Going towards northeast, here the intensity of rains could increase mainly in some states including Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Manipur and Mizoram.

Coming towards southern India, there will be scattered light to moderate showers over interior parts of Tamil Nadu, some parts of Kerala, coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh & also in coastal Odisha. Kerala and Tamil Nadu are expected to receive heavy rainfall in the next two days. Fishermen have been advised to be little careful while venturing into the sea.

Last but not the least, northern part of India will mainly remain dry and normal but there could be isolated light rainfall over the northern districts of Punjab.  

Weather in Delhi

The national capital and neighboring regions may also get light rainfall by late evening today. Due to this change in weather, the temperature in Delhi will also go down.
