Tomar Inaugurates Int’l Conference on Harnessing Indian Agriculture for Indigenous & Global Prosperity
The 2-day conference will assess the impact of Indian agricultural development on the domestic and global arenas. In the future, efforts will be made to develop a comprehensive policy for the agricultural sector's long-term development.
Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar today (22 July) inaugurated a two-day international conference on 'Harnessing Indian Agriculture for Indigenous and Global Prosperity,' co-organized by Bhartiya Agro-Economic Research Center (BAERC) and Bhartiya Kisan Sangh (BKS), at the National Agricultural Science Complex, ICAR, in New Delhi.
Tomar in his inaugural speech said that our farmers are not poor rather their contribution to the country's economy is huge.
Following independence, the conference will assess the impact of Indian agricultural development on the domestic and global arenas. In the future, efforts will be made to develop a comprehensive policy for the agricultural sector's long-term development.
The conference will be divided into sessions with dialogues, panel discussions, expert presentations, and group discussions on the following topics.
