UGC NET 2019: Registration Begins; Check Fees, Eligibility & Syllabus Here

The last date to apply is 30th March 2019.
The UGC NET June 2019 exams will be held on the following dates - 20th, 21st, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th June. The admit cards for the same will be released in the month of May, most probably on 15th. And the results of UGC NET June 2019 will be announced by 15th July.
Eligibility & Relaxation for UGC NET
Applicants need to score at least 55 % marks in Master’s degree or equivalent examination from a recognised universities or institutions.
There is 5% relaxation for the OBC, Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ persons with disability category & transgender candidates having at least 50 % marks in their Masters Degree.
Those pursuing their Master’s Degree can also apply for the exam to be held in June. These students have to complete their Master’s degree within 2 years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks.

UGC NET Fees
Registration Fee for the General or Unreserved category candidates is Rs. 800
Fee for Other Backward Classes (OBC)-(NCL) & Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category candidates is Rs. 400.
The SC, ST, PwD and Transgender candidates have to pay Rs. 200.
Candidates have to pay the exam fees up to 1st April 2019.
UGC NET Syllabus & Exam Pattern
The National Testing Agency conducts the UGC-NET June exam for post of ‘Assistant Professor’ and for ‘Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor'. The exam as usual will consist of 2 papers. Both the papers will be held in three hours duration. Moreover, both the examinations will be online i.e. computer based test mode.
As per the notification issued by NTA, the UGC-NET June 2019 exam will be based on a new syllabus, as mentioned on their official website – www.ugcnetonline.in.
The NTA notification said, “The University Grants Commission (UGC) has updated the syllabus of all NET subjects (including Paper-I on Gen. Awareness). The new syllabus of UGC-NET is available on the UGC-NET website – www.ugcnetonline.in
There are 50 questions for 100 marks in Paper 1 while Paper 2 contains 100 questions of 200 marks (2marks for each question in both papers).
All the questions are compulsory in nature hence candidates must not leave any questions.
Both the papers are held in 2 shifts (Morning & Afternoon).
The UGC NET test will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.
NTA has been given the task to conduct UGC NET examinations by Government of India and this is the 2nd time that the Agency is undertaking the competitive examination. NET exam is conducted in 84 subjects and at 91 selected cities.
