A total of 28.63 lakh students appeared for the class 10 examination, while 25.71 lakh students appeared for the class 12 examination.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) announced the results of the Class 10 and 12 board exams for 2023 today. 89.78% of students cleared the Class 10 exams, while 75.52% passed the Class 12 exams.

The passing percentage for boys in Class 10 was 86.64%, while it was 93.34% for girls. For the Class 12 exams, the passing percentage for boys was 69.34%, and it was 83% for girls.

A total of 28.63 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 exam, and 25.71 lakh students took the Class 12 exam. 31.16 lakh students registered for Class 10, while 27.68 lakh students were registered for Class 12.

The top scorer for the high school exam was Priyanshi Soni of Sita Bal Vidya Mandir Inter College in Sitapur with a score of 590/600. Kushagra Pandey of Arya Bhat VM HS Mnngalpur, Kanpur Dehat, and Mishkat Noor of Canossa Convent Girls Inter College in Ayodhya tied for second place with scores of 587/600.

Shubh Chapra of Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College, Charkhari, Mahoba district, was the top scorer for the intermediate exam with a score of 489/500. Saurabh Gangwar of SVM IC Bisalpur, Pilibhit, and Anamika of CH S Singh IC, Jaswant Nagar, Etawah, tied for second place with scores of 486/500.

The exams for Classes 10 and 12 were held from February 16 to March 4 this year, with 8,753 examination centres across Uttar Pradesh. To prevent cheating, each room in each centre had two CCTV cameras, voice recorders, and routers installed for live monitoring through webcasting. Compared to last year, the passing percentage for Class 10 increased from 88.18% to 89.78%, while the passing percentage for Class 12 decreased from 85.33% to 75.52% this year.
