UP Govt to Host Divisional-Level Fruit, Vegetable & Flower Shows, Says Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the ministry's people to host such shows and said that it will inspire horticulturists.

The state government will soon organize a fruit, vegetable and flower shows around the state at the divisional level to encourage competition among horticulturists as well as those engaged in animal husbandry and food processing, as per the statement released by the state government on Friday.

The statement claimed that the action would accomplish the twin goals of raising farmers' incomes and creating a small-scale enterprise in the area.

Even Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the ministry's people to host such shows and said that it will inspire horticulturists and also offer them an opportunity to acquire new scientific production, maintenance, and marketing strategies.

According to the statement, divisional-level fruit, vegetable, and flower shows have already been held in Agra and Lucknow, according to the Directorate of Horticulture and Food Processing authorities. The new dates for the show are February 24–25 in Prayagraj, February 25–26 in Varanasi, and March 14–17 in Saharanpur.

In addition, the exhibition is nearing completion in a number of other towns, including Aligarh, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Ayodhya, Devipatan, Gorakhpur, Basti, Jhansi, Chitrakoot Dham, Kanpur, Meerut, Moradabad and Mirzapur, but the dates have not yet been decided.

Officials also informed the CM that all of the divisions will have exhibitions until March. In addition to this, there will be two divisions in this exhibition competition.

The first category will feature products such as vegetables, hybrid vegetables, polyhouse vegetables, organic vegetables, fruits, special fruits, mushrooms, fruit preserves, honey and betel leaves, while the second category will feature evergreen leaves, flowers, other potted plants, winter seasonal flower plants in pots, medicine plants, and seasonal flower pots.

During the meeting, the officials also informed the CM about the budget that has been made aside for the state's divisional level, and 3.42 crore rupees (Rs. 3.42 million) have been given for the exhibition in 18 circles, with each division getting 19,05,500 rupees (Rs. 19,05,500). For its effective organization, a divisional-level fruit, vegetable, and flower exposition executive committee has been established.
