UPSC CDS II Notification 2019: Check Eligibility Criteria, Applying Method & Other Important Details

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be releasing the notification for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) II exam today i.e. on June 12, 2019. The application process will also start today and get completed on July 8, 2019.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be releasing the notification for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) II exam today i.e. on June 12, 2019. The application process will also start today and get completed on July 8, 2019. 

Eligible and interested candidates can apply @ upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in. The exam, according to the UPSC notice, will be held on September 8, 2019 (Sunday). It is to be noted that, this is the second CDS notification of the year. Earlier 417 vacancies were advertised under UPSC CDS I 2019. 

This year according to the speculations, the Commission will fill approximately 500 posts through this examination drive in different courses. 

Candidates who are selected by the recruitment process will be trained to serve the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air force Academy (AFA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), and Officer’s Training Academy (OTA), as suitable for their profile. 

How to apply for UPSC CDS II notification 2019? 

Step 1: Go to the official website @ upsc.gov.in 

Step 2: Click on the UPSC CDS 2019 link 

Step 3: In part I of the registration, submit your basic information. 

Step 4: In part II, enter the payment details, choice of exam centre, upload your photo and sign 

Step 5: Save it and take a print out for future use 

Eligibility Criteria UPSC CDS II 2019:  

Educational Qualification 

  • For the post of I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy: Candidates must possess a degree of a recognized University or equivalent. 

  • For Indian Naval Academy: Candidates need to possess a degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution. 

  • For Air Force Academy: Candidates should possess the degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering. 

Age Limit 

  • For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy: Candidates (unmarried male) born not before than July 2, 2995, and not later than July 1, 2000, are eligible. 

  • For Indian Naval Academy: Candidates (unmarried male) born not earlier than July 2, 1995, and not later than July 1, 2000, are eligible. 

  • For Air Force Academy: Candidates should be between 20 to 24 years of age.
