UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Exam 2023 Notification Out! Direct link to Apply Inside

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the candidates who want to appear for the Combined Geo-Scientist Prelims Exam 2023 (CGSE 2023) for appointment as Geologist, Geophysicist, Scientist B and Chemist Group A on its official website upsconline.nic.in.

This year, the commission is conducting the exam for a total of 285 vacancies under the Central Ground Water and Geological Survey of India.

Educational Qualification

Geologist, Group A

Candidates must Passed / Appearing Master Degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology or Geo-Exploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Science or Any Other Equivalent Degree.

Geophysicist, Group A

Candidates must Passed / Appearing M. Sc.in Physics or Applied Physics or M.Sc. (Geophysics) or Integrated M.Sc. (Exploration Geophysics) or M.Sc (Applied Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Marine Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Tech.) (Applied Geophysics) from a recognised University.

Chemist. Group A

Candidates must Passed / Appearing Master Degree in Chemistry / Applied Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry in Any Recognized University in India.

Scientist B (Hydrogeology, Chemical, Geophysics)

Candidates must Passed / Appearing (Final Year) Master degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology or Any Equivalent Degree in Any Recognized University in India.

Age Limit:

Maximum Age:21 Years

Minimum Age:32 Years

  • SC / ST / PH: 0/-
  • All Category Female: 0/- (Exempted)

  • Register yourself on OTR (One Time Registration) portal by Clicking the New Registration button.

  • After registration, login (by Email ID/ Mobile Number/ OTR ID) to verify the already registered OTR application.

  • Go to the Latest Notification tab in the OTR application.
