UPSC Recruitment 2022: Vacancy Details

Post Name: Senior Agricultural Engineer

Institute: Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute

Salary: Level 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC

Age Limit: 40 years

Education Qualification: Degree in Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute

Experience: Five years experience in the Operation and Maintenance of tractors, Agricultural Machinery, and allied equipment including teaching experience in any Government or private listed organization;

Or Five years of experience in handling independent testing and evaluation of farm machinery and agricultural implements in any Government or private listed organization.

Desirable: Post Graduate Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized University or Institute

Duties:

  • Overall, in charge of testing and training activities.

  • Planning, organizing, executing, testing, training, and demonstration activities.

  • Development of testing facilities, preparation of literature, and audio-visual aids for training.

  • Examine, review, and amend IS/ISO/OECD standards, TAP documents, and CMVR.

Post Name: Agricultural Engineer

Institute: Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute

Salary: Level 7 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC

Age Limit: 33 years

Education Qualification: Degree in Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute

Experience: Two years experience in testing and evaluation of agricultural Machinery from Central Government or state governments or union territory administrations or public sector undertakings or agricultural universities;

OR Two years experience of teaching or as a trainer, including experience in the operation or maintenance of tractors and agricultural implements or machinery, from Central Government or state governments or union territory administrations or public sector undertakings, or agricultural universities.

Desirable: One year of practical experience in mechanized farming practices.

Duties:

  • Responsible for operation/maintenance/repair/evaluation of Agricultural/Earthmoving equipment.

  • Verification of Agricultural Machinery for CMVR certification.

  • Supervision/coordination of testing/training activities and assist in International / specialized training courses.

  • Planning/supervision/ control of the workshop
