Vice President : Combined efforts needed for saving rivers

All the people need to come forward to save the rivers. Our life is closely associated with rivers and it is our duty to preserve them. This is what Vice President Venkaiah Naidu said in the program organized at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on the closing ceremony of the 'Rally for River' campaign launched to save the country's rivers.

All the people need to come forward to save the rivers. Our life is closely associated with rivers and it is our duty to preserve them. This is what Vice President Venkaiah Naidu said in the program organized at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on the closing ceremony of the 'Rally for River' campaign launched to save the country's rivers.

While appreciating the initiatives taken by Sadguru to save the rivers, the Vice President said that the contribution of all the people is extremely important. He said that all political parties should work together to save the rivers of the country. This River campaign has had great success in different parts of the country. On this occasion Sadguru said that we have prepared a draft to save the rivers. It may take up to 25 years to implement this draft, but this draft will prove to be effective for the next 500 years. He said that this will render clean rivers  to our future generations. He said that the prepared Vision document of 700 pages to save the rivers  will be presented to the Central Government. This document has been prepared in collaboration with all scientists and other experts.

The Union Minister Dr. Harshavardhan welcomed the suggestions made by Sadguru to save the rivers. He said that efforts will be made to implement these suggestions. Central Minister Mahesh Sharma, Actress Juhi Chawla, Singer Sonu Nigam, Dharmaguru Acharya Lokesh Muni were also present in the program. To save the rivers, this campaign started from Coimbatore on September 3. Through the 21 cities of the country, this rally reached Delhi. During this time, Sadguru carried his own vehicle on the journey of about nine thousand kilometers and also educated the people about the campaign “Rally For Rivers.”
