Weather Alert! Amid rising cases of Covid-19, Delhi to Witness Rainfall along with Gusty Winds on Tuesday

Dusty storm and light rain can experience tomorrow

Delhi is likely to witness gusty winds and light rainfall on Tuesday says India Meteorological Department (IMD), which will cool down daytime temperature. According to the IMD forecast, breezy winds of around 50 kmph are expected in the capital on Tuesday, leading to a dust storm. 

IMD bulletin said that the change in weather is result of a fresh Western Disturbance that will bring widespread rainfall or snowfall over the Western Himalayan Region and isolated to scattered rain over the adjoining plains of northwest India. 

Delhi observed light showers of 2.4 mm and dust-raising winds of about 65 kmph on Friday, caused by a passing Western Disturbance, as per IMD officials. The average rainfall expected in April in Delhi is 13 mm, against which it has 2.4 mm experienced so far. 

The city recorded a minimum temperature of 18.3 degrees Celsius in the early hours of Sunday. 

The maximum or daytime temperature on Sunday was 35.7 degrees Celsius, higher than 35 degrees recorded on Saturday. 

The IMD also said that the maximum temperature would fall to around 36 degrees Celsius on Wednesday before it begins rising again. The minimum weather is forecast to increase to about 21 degrees Celsius by Tuesday before falling to 18 degrees by Thursday.
