These Places Likely to Witness Rain & Hail in Coming Days
Under the influence of two fresh Western Disturbances in quick succession, scattered to widespread rainfall/snowfall with isolated thunderstorm/lightning/hail likely to lash over Western Himalayan Region during 11th-13th March with isolated heavy falls likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan & Muzaffarabad on 11th & 12th March and over Himachal Pradesh on 12th March.
Isolated rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning and hail likely to fall over plains of Northwest India on 11th & 12th March, 2021.
Due to confluence between easterlies & westerlies and trough/wind discontinuity at lower levels, isolated rainfall with thunderstorm/lightning likely over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha during 11th-13th March and over Jharkhand and Bihar during 12th-13th March.
Isolated hailstorm also likely over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on 12th March, 2021.

The Western Disturbance is currently over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining Himachal Pradesh. Due to its effect, the area of cyclonic winds is presently over northwest Rajasthan and adjoining parts of it. A cyclonic circulation is seen over north-eastern Bangladesh and adjoining northeastern states. A trough is extending from Kerala to northern interior Karnataka. A trough is extending from Comorin region to northern Tamil Nadu.
Possible Weather Activity during Next 24 Hours
During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain and snowfall activities may continue over the western Himalayan states. In Northeast India, light rain is expected at one or two places with light rain at some places.
Light rains are expected at a few places in southern Tamil Nadu and one or two places in southern Kerala. Day and night temperatures in the northwest, central and eastern parts of the country will remain above normal.
