Weather Alert: Delhi, Punjab, Haryana to Receive More Rains With Hailstorm Today, Temperature to Dip Further

Starting with the weather system across India, a Western Disturbance is lying over Jammu & Kashmir and its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Northwest Rajasthan. In addition, one Cyclonic Circulation is over Southeast Rajasthan while another persists over South Assam. Also a trough is extending from Southwest Bay of Bengal towards Tamil Nadu coast.

Starting with the weather system across India, a Western Disturbance is lying over Jammu & Kashmir and its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Northwest Rajasthan. In addition, one Cyclonic Circulation is over Southeast Rajasthan while another persists over South Assam. Also a trough is extending from Southwest Bay of Bengal towards Tamil Nadu coast.

Weather in India during the last 24 hours - fairly widespread light rainfall with one or two moderate spells occurred over Jammu & Kashmir. Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand witnessed scattered rainfall. Northern plains that includes Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan also experienced good rainfall yesterday.  Scattered rainfall occurred at many places in Madhya Pradesh. Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Assam, Lakshadweep & Andaman and Nicobar Islands also witnessed isolated showers.

Weather in India in the next 24 hours:

According to the Weather department, there will be fairly widespread heavy rainfall & snowfall over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand.  Moderate rainfall  with one or two heavy spells is likely over Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh & parts of Northeast Madhya Pradesh. People in Rajasthan, Bihar and parts of Madhya Pradesh will also get to see scattered light to moderate showers today. Going towards South, here light rainfall is possible over Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Met department has said that the maximum temperatures will drop by 3-6 degree Celsius in hilly regions, Northern, Central and Eastern parts of the country.

Weather in Delhi

Heavy rains, coupled with thunderstorm, lashed several parts of Delhi on 12th December evening. This sudden rainfall is expected to improve Delhi's air quality and further bring down the temperature. According to the weatherman, Delhi temperature  is expected to drop after 14th December 2019. They have also predicted thunderstorm with hail for today i.e. 13th December. The minimum as well as maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to be around 13 degrees Celsius & 19 degrees Celsius.
