Weather Alert! IMD Forecast Light to Heavy Rains in Delhi, Haryana and many other States till March 24

The weather is changing drastically since last few days amid the onset of spring season. Moreover, the weather department has predicted light rain across few states from March 24. As per report, the rain will be accompanied with thunder and lightning, the IMD added in its forecast bulletin issued on March 24 under the influence of an active Western Disturbance. 

As per the report of Indian Meteorological Department, isolated to scattered rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) are very likely over Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada and Vidarbha during next 2 days. (ii) Isolated hailstorm also very likely over Marathawada on 20th March, 2021.  

These States Likely to Get Heavy Rain  

As per the Indian Meteorological Department, light to scattered rainfall is predicted in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi till March 24. 

Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall/snowfall with isolated thunderstorm/lightning likely over the Western Himalayan Region and isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall over the plains of Northwest India during 21st-23th March and reduction in intensity and distribution from 24th March. Isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall also likely over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan & Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on 22nd & 23rd March, 2021.  

(ii) Isolated hailstorm also likely over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan & Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on 21st; over Uttarakhand on 22nd & 23rd; over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi and Rajasthan on 22nd March.  

No heat wave conditions very likely over the country during next 5 days.
