Weather Alert! IMD Issues Heavy Rain & Gusty Winds Alert in These States; North to Remain Dry
A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from the night of 5th April. Under its influence, isolated to scattered rain/thundershower is likely over western Himalayan region and adjoining plains during 06th-07th April 2020 with maximum intensity on 07th April, says the weather forecast bulletin in its latest report. On the other hand, northerly/northwesterly winds are prevailing over northwest India. As a result, weather is likely to remain dry over this region for the next 24 hours.

Isolated thunderstorm accompanied with hail, lightning and gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) very likely over northeast India during next 24 hours. As per yesterday’s reports, minimum temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over North Interior Karnataka; at a few places over Saurashtra & Kutch, Telangana; and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at isolated places over Gujarat region, West Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Coastal Odisha and Coastal Karnataka.
