Weather Alert: These States to Witness Heavy Rain & Thunderstorm for Next 7 Days; Several Regions on High Alert

The India Meteorological Department on 25th July said, extremely heavy rain is likely in Uttarakhand for the next 7 days. Seven districts have been asked to stay on alert.

The India Meteorological Department on 25th July said, extremely heavy rain is likely in Uttarakhand for the next 7 days. Seven districts have been asked to stay on alert.

Several Districts on High Alert for next 7 Days

The Garhwal Divisions Uttarakashi, Tehri Garhwal, Dehradun & Pauri Garhwal districts have been put on a high alert. Bageshwar, Pithoragarh & Nainital districts in the kumaon division have also been asked to stay on a high alert for the next 7 days. Landslides occurred at the Tanakpur Ghat national highway in Uttarakhand’s Champawat district along with heavy rains earlier this week.

Heavy rains over Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh & Other States from 26th July

As per the India Meteorological Department, extremely heavy rainfall is likely at the isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, west Madhya Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya. 

IMD Predicts Heavy rain over Bihar & Other States for 26th July

IMD has also predicted for heavy rainfall at the isolated places over Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim, sub- Himalayan West Bengal, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Gujarat, Tripura, Konkan, Goa, central Maharashtra, Kerala, coastal Karnataka and Mahe for 26th July Monday.

Thundershowers are likely in these States

Thundershowers is likely to occur at the isolated places over Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura & Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal.

Warning of increase Rainfall from 26th to 29th July

Warning of an increase rainfall over the Western Himalayan Region & the adjoining plains of northwest India from 26th July. IMD said fairly widespread rainfall along with isolated heavy falls is likely over Uttar Pradesh & Himachal Pradesh on 26th & 29th July, over Uttarakhand on 25th & 29th July, and over Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit- Baltistan & Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Punjab & Haryana from 27th to 29th July.
