Weather Forecast: IMD Issues Dangerous Warning for Next Four Days; Red Alert in These States

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a dangerous warning for the next four days; August 25-28 in its morning bulletin. As per reports, the Meteorological Department issues warnings in four colors, which include Green , Yellow, Orange  and Red.

On Monday, due to torrential rains in many areas of Gujarat, rivers were in spate and a high alert was issued for more than 100 dams, whereas no new outbreak of floods came out in Bihar since Sunday, but the situation in this disaster in the state Are serious. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in South Bengal from Monday, says the weather forecast.

 The Low Pressure Area lies over Southwest Rajasthan & neighbourhood. It is likely to persist during next 24 hours and merge with heat low thereafter. The monsoon trough is active and south of its normal position. It is likely to remain active during next 2-3 days.

Under the influence of the above systems, Widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely over Gujarat state and southwest Rajasthan on 24th & 25th and over southeast Rajasthan on 24th August. Isolated extremely heavy falls also very likely over Gujarat state on 24th August, 2020.

The other Low Pressure Area lies over North Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood. It is likely to become more marked during next 2 days.

States Likely to Get Heavy Rainfall in Next 24 Hours

Under its influence, widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely over Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand during next 3-4 days and over Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh & Rajasthan during 26th to 28th August. Isolated extremely heavy falls also very likely over Odisha on 25th & 26th August, 2020.

Due to convergence of lower level easterlies from Bay of Bengal and south-westerlies from Arabian Sea, rainfall activity is very likely to increase over Northwest India from 25th August onwards with peak intensity on 26th & 27th August, 2020. Under its influence: (i) Widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely over northwest India during 26th to 28th August, 2020.

Maximum & Minimum Temperature:

Maximum temperatures are above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Jharkhand, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema; at a few places over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Telangana while Minimum temperatures are above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan & Muzaffarabad; at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab.
