Weather Forecast: IMD Issues Heavy Rain Alert over These Region; Monsoon to Enter These States Today

The weather department of India has predicted heavy rainfall in many places in the next 24 hours. Under the influence of the well-marked Low-Pressure Area over Saurashtra & neighbourhood, widespread rainfall activity likely over Gujarat State on today and decrease significantly thereafter. Isolated heavy to very falls with extremely heavy falls very likely over Saurashtra & Kutch and heavy falls over Gujarat region on today, says the weather forecast in its morning reports.

The weather department of India has predicted heavy shower in many places during the next 24 hours. Under the influence of the well-marked Low-Pressure Area over Saurashtra & neighbourhood, widespread rainfall activity likely over Gujarat State on today and decrease significantly thereafter. Isolated heavy to very falls with extremely heavy falls very likely over Saurashtra & Kutch and heavy falls over Gujarat region on today, says the weather forecast in its morning reports.

Heavy Rain to Lash over These States Today

Under its influence, widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely over northeastern states, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh from 08th July 2020 onwards. Isolated extremely heavy falls are also very likely over Assam & Meghalaya during 8th to 11th, Arunachal Pradesh on 9th & 10th, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and East Uttar Pradesh on 10th & 11th and over Bihar on 10th July 2020.

The monsoon trough is south of its normal position at lower tropospheric levels. It is very likely to shift gradually northwards along the foothills of the Himalayas from tomorrow onwards. In addition, high Convergence of south-westerlies/southerlies winds from the Bay of Bengal at lower tropospheric levels very likely over northeast & east India from tomorrow onwards. Intense thunderstorm & lightning potential zone: Moderate to intense thunderstorm & lightning very likely over Uttrakhand, Uttar Pradesh, South-East Rajasthan, Konkan & Goa, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and during next 12 hours.

Maximum & Minimum Temperature

Maximum temperatures are above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura; at many places over Kerala & Mahe, Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Rayalaseema, Chhattisgarh, Assam & Meghalaya and Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam; at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh while minimum temperatures are appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over West Rajasthan, Bihar and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
