Weather Forecast! Monsoon Enters into These States; Heavy Showers Likely in Next 3-4 Days

The weather department of India has predicted heavy rain over East Uttar Pradesh, southern states during next 3-4 days in its morning bulletin. As per reports, the southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of Rajasthan, remaining parts of Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh, entire Delhi, some parts of Haryana and most parts of Punjab. Under its influence, fairly widespread to isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall are likely over parts of south peninsular India during next 4 days. Isolated extremely heavy rainfall also likely over Kerala & Mahe during 26th-27th June, says IMD reports.

On the other hand, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall activity with isolated heavy to very heavy falls also very likely over East Uttar Pradesh during next 3-4 days. Isolated heavy rainfall also likely over remaining parts of plains of northwest India and Western Himalayan Region on 25th June.

Light-to Heavy Rainfall is likely in parts of Delhi

Kuldeep Srivastava, the head of the regional forecasting centre of the IMD, said the northern limit of monsoon passes through Nagor, Alwar, Delhi, Karnal and Ferozepur.  Srivastava said light-to-heavy rainfall is likely in parts of Delhi on Thursday-Friday.

Due to shift of trough northwards and convergence of strong southerly/south-westerly winds from the Bay of Bengal over northeast & adjoining east India, widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to continue over northeast & adjoining east India during next 3-4 days. Isolated extremely heavy rainfall is also likely over Bihar and Assam & Meghalaya during 25th-27th June and over Arunachal Pradesh and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on 25th & 26th June 2020.

Minimum & Maximum Temperature

Maximum temperatures are appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at most places over North interior Karnataka, Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha; at many places over Marathawada, Telangana and Chhattisgarh while minimum temperatures are above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Bihar, Telangana and West Bengal & Sikkim and Kerala & Mahe; at a few places over Uttarakhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram.
