In Northern part of India, a western disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir and its stimulated cyclonic circulation is over the northwestern plains are now retreating after giving season’s first snowfall in many hilly places like Kufri and Shimla. Nevertheless, remnants of the system may give little rain and snow in Jammu and Kashmir as well as Himachal Pradesh in the next 24 hours.

The remaining parts of Northwest India will stay almost dry. But, isolated rain over parts of West Uttar Pradesh cannot be discarded. As the cold winds are making a comeback, there will be a drop in morning as well as night temperatures across the plains including Delhi and NCR regions.

In northeast India, a feeble cyclonic circulation lies over Bangladesh and neighboring Assam. Isolated rain is expected in few places of Assam and its nearby region. The remaining states will remain arid with isolated rain in Jharkhand.

Now moving towards central part of India, due to the frail cyclonic circulation over Chhattisgarh and the furrow running from this system towards southern peninsula, there can be light rain in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Odisha.

This furrow will not be able to give any weather movement in southern India. In the meantime, the well-marked low-pressure area in Bay has now stimulated a depression that lies over South-central Bay of Bengal. It is expected to move northwestwards and reinforce into a deep-depression in the next 24 hours. Possibilities are there that it might become a cyclone in the 72 hours, but it would be a weak one.

There shall be thin to moderate fog in northern India including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and also Bihar.
