Weather in India: Heavy Rainfall, Thunderstorm Likely in these Parts of the Country Today

Extremely heavy falls very likely over Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and over East Uttar Pradesh. Isolated heavy to very heavy falls also very likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh during next 2 days. Moderate to severe thunderstorm and lightning likely over East and northwest Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand.

Extremely heavy falls very likely over Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and over East Uttar Pradesh. Isolated heavy to very heavy falls also very likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh during next 2 days. Moderate to severe thunderstorm and lightning likely over East and northwest Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand. 

Ganganagar (West Rajasthan) records highest temperature of 43.3OC.  

Maximum temperatures were above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal and Kerala and Mahe; at many places over Uttarakhand, Punjab, West Rajasthan, Odisha and Konkan and Goa; at a few places over Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh; at isolated places over Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Bihar, South Interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. They were appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at a few places Assam & Meghalaya;at isolated places over East Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura ; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C ) at many places over Telangana; at a few places over Rayalaseema; at isolated places over Saurashtra, Kutch, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and near normal over rest parts of the country.
