Weather India: Rain, Thunderstorm Likely in Many States Including Delhi, Punjab, Gujarat, Assam and Kerala

Amid rising coronavirus cases in India, people in Delhi –NCR got little relief after a sudden change in the weather. The national capital and adjoining areas received moderate to light rainfall yesterday evening. The morning and night temperature also went down after rainfall. Few states in the South as well as Northeast also received good rainfall.

Amid rising coronavirus cases in India, people in Delhi –NCR got little relief after a sudden change in the weather. The national capital and adjoining areas received moderate to light rainfall yesterday evening. The morning and night temperature also went down after rainfall. Few states in the South as well as Northeast also received good rainfall.    

Weather Systems in India

Skymet weather experts told that a Western Disturbance is lying over Jammu & Kashmir and its adjacent areas. Also a cyclonic circulation can be seen over South Pakistan and neighbouring South-west Rajasthan. They said an anti-cyclone persists over the west-central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast. And a trough is extending from Southern part of Madhya Maharashtra to south interior Karnataka.

Weather in India in the last 24 hours

In the past 24 hours, Coastal Odisha witnessed light to moderate rainfall, while heavy showers at one or two places. Kerala, North coastal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka and interior Tamil Nadu also received light rainfall at some places. The Northeast part of the country that includes Sikkim & sub-Himalayan West Bengal witnessed light showers at some places. Parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh also received light rainfall. States in North like Rajasthan, North Punjab, North Haryana, Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh too experienced light showers

Weather in India in next 24 hours

MET department said that in the next 24 hours, rain activities are likely to increase in the Northern plains of India. Several parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat will get good rainfall. Rainfall will also take place at many places in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh & North Madhya Pradesh.

Parts of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh may also receive rainfall in the next 24 hours. Northeast states will continue getting light showers. 

Weather in Delhi will remain cool and pleasant.
