Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are being lashed by the continuous rounds of unseasonal rains. It is observed that a confluence zone, which has now moved away eastwards, is the main reason for this unseasonal shower in the states.
Another surprising fact about these rains is that West and Madhya Pradesh generally remain beyond the reach of winter weather systems, so rain in these systems was quite unlikely. The night temperature has dropped by 3-4 degrees and in the next 48 hours, a marginal drop in the temperatures is also expected in Chhattisgarh.
The weather might remain dry until January 27 after the Western Disturbance will approach in Western Himalayas. A cyclonic Circulation is also expected to be formed over East Rajasthan.
Going southwards, a trough will also extend from this Cyclonic Circulation across Southeast Madhya Pradesh up to Telangana, which will also cause rain and thundershower activities in eastern and northern parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. A cyclonic circulation can also be seen over the southern parts of Assam and over Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
