Weather Update: These States Will Receive More Monsoon Rains While Others Will Remain Dry & Humid
Stating with North India, here most of the States or regions will experience a Subdued Monsoon. However, there could be light to moderate rainfall at some locations in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. West Uttar Pradesh might also witness a few moderate spells.

Stating with North India, here most of the States or regions will experience a Subdued Monsoon. However, there could be light to moderate rainfall at some locations in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. West Uttar Pradesh might also witness a few moderate spells.
Talking about weather in Delhi, the National Capital is likely to receive isolated thundery activity in the weekend starting from today. But, weather in Haryana, Punjab & North Rajasthan will remain almost dry.
In Central India, a Low-Pressure Area can be seen over Northeast Madhya Pradesh and neighboring regions. It must be noted that this year, Central India has received the maximum rainfall as compared to other zones. In addition, a Confluence Zone has formed over Western part of Madhya Pradesh. As a result, fairly widespread rainfall will continue in several parts of Madhya Pradesh. In the Western districts, rains will be moderate to heavy. Places like Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha & East Rajasthan will also experience showers at some places. Light to moderate rains are expected over Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra & at one or two places in Gujarat and Marathwada. Weather in Mumbai will be pleasant with light rains in the weekend.
Coming towards, East & Northeast India, here the eastern end of Axis of Monsoon Trough is passing through Odisha. Hence, light to moderate showers is likely over Odisha & few parts of Jharkhand. Rainfall is also possible at 1 or 2 places in Bihar & Gangetic West Bengal. Meanwhile, the Northeast states including Assam, Sikkim, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh could also experience a few moderate spells of rain. Kolkata city will however remain dry.
Lastly in the Southern part of India, light to moderate rainfall is possible over Kerala, Coastal Karnataka & Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Some places in these states can even witness heavy spells. According to Met Department, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu & interior Karnataka will receive light to moderate showers. Chennai however will stay dry and humid.
