Weather Warning: Hail & Thunderstorms to Occur Again in These States

Moderate to heavy thunderstorms or rain with hail in Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam and Meghalaya is likely to occur. As a cyclonic circulation and related upper level trough over Uttarakhand will induce instability in the northern, central and eastern regions of India.

Moderate to heavy thunderstorms or rain with hail in Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam and Meghalaya is likely to occur. As a cyclonic circulation and related upper level trough over Uttarakhand will induce instability in the northern, central and eastern regions of India. 

Though, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Sikkim may receive 'moderate to heavy' snow or rain and thunderstorms with chances of hail. Jammu and Kashmir will experience scattered snow or rain and Odisha, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh will witness isolated rainfall. 

Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan will be covered by an isolated dense fog and maximum temperatures in northern, central and eastern India will remain cooler than normal. 

As the cyclonic circulation moves eastwards, some of the eastern and north-eastern states will come into its ambit. Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh will experience heavy snow or rain along with chances of hailstorms and thunderstorms tomorrow. 

Likewise, Bihar, Assam and Meghalaya will also experience moderate rains and thunderstorms. The Met team has also forecast that Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Bihar will receive scattered rain. 

A fresh Western Disturbance (WD) is predicted over north India from 11th February. 

The easterly winds from Bay of Bengal and northerly or northwesterly winds from Arabian Sea converge over Southern India. There is possibility of isolated rain along with thunderstorms in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.  

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh are expected to receive isolated rain.
